About CSNW

A recently formed subsidiary of RH2 Engineering, Control Systems Northwest is an electrical/control integration division within the strong foundation of a long-established engineering firm. Founded in Medford, OR in 2019 as a highly focused and specialized offshoot of RH2, CSNW is expanding in Southern Oregon with the eventual vision of expanding throughout the Pacific Northwest.

About the Job

The Electrical Engineering Technician installs and maintains electrical control systems and equipment, and modifies electrical prototypes, parts, and assemblies to correct problems. When testing systems, the Electrical Engineering Tech will set up equipment and evaluate the performance of developmental parts, assemblies, or systems under simulated conditions, as well as analyze test information to resolve design-related problems.

Responsibilities

  • Construct electrical systems and prototypes
  • Build, calibrate, and repair electrical instruments or testing equipment
  • Visit construction sites to observe conditions affecting design
  • Identify solutions to technical design problems that arise during the construction of electrical systems
  • Inspect designs for quality control, report findings, and make recommendations
  • Draw diagrams and write specifications to clarify design details of experimental electronics units

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as an electrical engineering technician
  • Knowledge of standard design software including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MS Office Suite
  • SCADA or control system design experience:
    • PLC or operator interface software development experience (i.e., Allen Bradley, Modicon, Seimens, etc.)
    • SCADA HMI application software development experience (i.e., Wonderware/AVEVA, RSView, FactoryTalk View, Ignition, etc.)
    • Understanding the National Electric Code (NEC) and computer networks.
  • Municipal water/wastewater experience, desired.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Passion for exceeding customer expectations
  • High energy, collaborative and adaptable
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teams in multiple offices

Compensation & Benefits at RH2

Individual compensation will vary within a range based on a candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience as they relate to the requirements for this position. RH2 values our employees’ work/life balance and compensates overtime for hours exceeding 40 regular hours in a work week. This position is also eligible for a discretionary performance bonus paid twice a year, dependent upon company and individual performance.
